Write to the editorial desk

This page explains how to reach the desk behind Licence Lookup NG, what is worth writing about, and what the desk cannot answer.

What is worth writing about

Write to the desk when a figure looks wrong. The site republishes rows from the SEC Nigeria's register, grouped by the category the SEC gives, with the date and hour the figure was read. If a row does not match the named source, the desk wants to know. A source that has moved or closed is equally useful: a broken link changes what a reader can verify, and the table should not point to a dead page.

A question about how the measurement is taken is also welcome. The desk can explain which SEC page was read, when it was read, and why a category was assigned. A reader who believes a category is wrong should say so. The desk checks the named source again and, if the reader is right, corrects the row and dates the correction.

What happens to a correction

When a correction is accepted, the row is changed in the table and a dated note is added beneath it. The note says what was wrong and when it was corrected. The old figure is not kept on the page, but the note remains so a reader can see that the desk acted. The correction is also mentioned in the next weekly read, if one is published, so that readers who saw the earlier figure learn of the change.

The desk does not remove the note after a set period. A correction is part of the record, not a temporary flag. If a reader spots the same error again after a correction, the desk will re-check the source and, if needed, correct again. The address below is the only channel for corrections.

What the desk cannot answer

The desk cannot give personal investment advice. It does not know a reader's income, needs, or risk tolerance, and it will not suggest whether to buy, sell, or hold anything. It cannot help with a broker's account: no password resets, no deposit tracing, no withdrawal requests. Those belong to the broker, and the desk has no access to any reader's account.

The desk also cannot act on tips about a broker's behaviour unless the tip is about a figure on this site. A complaint about a broker's service, a delayed withdrawal, or a platform error should go to the broker or to the SEC Nigeria. The desk does not forward messages to brokers or regulators, and it does not pass reader details to anyone.

The desk and its funding

The site is an independent editorial desk, not a broker, not an exchange, and not a licensed adviser. It holds no client money. The site links to one broker, FxPro, through an affiliate link, and is paid a commission if a reader opens an account there. The reader pays nothing to this site and nothing extra at the broker. This is the only payment the desk receives for the outbound link.

Writing to the desk does not create any account or subscription. The site has no login, no newsletter, and no comment form. It sets no cookie of its own and runs no analytics. The pages are served by a hosting provider which keeps its own technical request logs; the desk does not read a reader's personal data out of them. Contact: editor@licencelookupng.pages.dev
